for harpsichord and electronics

1994   11'   pub: Composers Edition

This music was inspired by the life of the medieval Swiss mystic Brother Klaus, who after spending many years as a soldier, farmer and politician, decided to dedicate the rest of his life to reclusion and meditation. According to the historical records of the time, he spent his life in solitude, experiencing sensorial and spiritual visions. I was attracted by the radical contrasts of such circumstances and by the flavour of a stirring significance to be found in the apparent diversity of the physical and metaphysical dimension of life.
